Hey look, it's deviantART's 14th birthday! And for that, I see that I can finally do art features oAo!! So here we go, some things that are important to me as an artist and a viewer both:
FREELANCING TIPS: Good job and bad jobs by FriendlyHand: As someone who wants to work on using her art to make money, I find this extremely helpful because it makes me realize both pros and cons to doing so, as well as giving tips on what to look out for.
COMMISSION: IkitsumiDaminito by hammertheshark: The first thing I've ever commissioned, and it was for the OCs that belong to my best friend and I. Seeing this makes me happy that I can see Kimiyo and Shiki in someone else's art style--and a style that's not Anime, for that matter--and it motivates me to keep writing the story that has these two.
Passion by HeartGold: I met HeartGold on the PokeCommunity Forums a long time ago--and never realized how much of an amazing artist she was for someone so young. Seeing this sort of work made me wonder what the heck I was stalling so much for (and still am), but she was super-nice and I just love seeing the hard work she puts into such a beautiful piece.
Making of RD Comic by TamarinFrog: This one has been a humongous help to me for awhile--it's what made me go and get Photoshop and taught me a bit of the features that made me wonder how a fancomic series I love so much had such good quality, and made me want to change my art style to digital (because I lacked confidence in digital art due to not knowing how to use a lot of programs).
Curly Pie 99 by Sir-Doomy: This one speaks to me on a bit of a personal level because I just hit 22--I'm still mediocre in everything I do, I'm still searching for a job, I'm behind in college (most of my friends that're my age have graduated with their Bachelor's and I don't even have my Associate's, plus my grades got me suspended (again), and I wonder where exactly I went wrong when thinking about my future...? (But other than the blah sob story, this guy's comics always cheer me up and I love the art style--also games. Aww yeah.)
FREELANCING TIPS: Good jobs and bad jobsThe world of freelance business is populated with all types of clients and artists. If you are a freelancer or a potential client, you will eventually start to recognize the early signs of good and bad job situations. There are some tips and notes below that may help you recognize these signs sooner and therefore improve your ability to connect successfully with good job partners. A client or artist will seldom display all of the good or bad signs described below. However, watching for the following list items may help you to assess a potential workmate as a good risk or a bad one BEFORE work begins. Similarly, if you strive to embody the positive characteristics listed below, they may help you to attract better clients/artists and engage in more successful and fulfilling partnerships.
Good qualities in a DA CLIENT/ JOB AD:
Client seems polite and professional and reasonable.
Client knows what she/he wants and describes the work clearly.
Client displays good spelling, grammar an

Entry 130 - Long time no update ehe!
It's been close-ish to a year since I properly wrote a journal on here!
As can be seen from my current gallery and scrap dump, I've found myself back into Kingdom Hearts III, Union Cross, and oc shipping shenanigans! It's been doing me a lot of good though, I haven't had this much fun with fandom-related things in awhile. c:
Ann Arbor's been treating me well (sans financially), so I'm working on redoing my commission information in order to make up for it.
Entry 129 - Adjusting to Ann Arbor!
Heya all! Long time no journal!
I've been living in Ann Arbor for just short of three weeks and I'm slowly getting used to city and apartment life (especially walking to work because I didn't bring my car), but overall my mental health and even physical health have significantly improved due to lifestyle changes. My chinchilla Elsie being with me also really helps~
I'm slowly dipping back into art--most of it related to Pro-Seikaku for the purposes of a roll20 campaign I'm working on! (Which is very slowly coming together...because maps agh)
Looking back though, I might take a small change in direction for a bit and focus on other elements
Entry 127 - Update!
I forgot I didn't post here oops, but the precursor to this journal is that I got an apartment in Ann Arbor next year with the bestie, I made plans to move into my sister's house, and I finished Inktober (which I haven't uploaded, it'll all be at Ikitsumi (https://www.deviantart.com/ikitsumi)!)
So I did finish moving (mostly) into my sister's house and it's just been a matter of trying to adjust to this lifestyle and finding focus again! ;v; Right now I'm trying to find zines to apply to and also experiment with Adobe After Effects! Lots of my focus nowadays is on Anime Campaign, Warhammer, and Good Day Spotted.
My sister brought up that she's surprised she doesn't see me stre
Entry 126 - Busy Times Ahead!
Heya all!
School is upon me in five days from now--it's going to be interesting following an online-only format while also working most of the week and also trying to squeeze in time for artwork. That being said, my commissions are still open and I'm still very active in posting--it's mostly on Patreon and Tumblr, though I'm trying to make an attempt to also utilize Facebook and Instagram!
I'm going to be spending more time on Pro-Seikaku, Epi-Seikaku, Good Day Spotted, and drawings for my bestie's Anime Campaign sessions as far as original work goes. Regarding fanart, I'll probably be doing more Mabinogi, Voltron, and Pokemon work. I'm als
